Team Volunteers

Our most important volunteers are the ones who make baseball possible by running and coaching our youth baseball teams! When registration opens for a season, you can register yourself as a Volunteer for these roles.

Manager

The Manager is the team's head coach, responsible for running practices and managing the team during games. Player safety and development is a top concern. Managers determine player positions and lineup.

Assistant Coach

Each team needs 2 Assistant Coaches (1 for tee ball) that run drills during practice and will stand in for the Manager as needed. During games they may serve as 1st or 3rd base coaches. Assistant Coaches receive uniforms.

Team Parent

Each team needs a Team Parent to coordinate the things that happen off the field, such as picture day, fundraising, uniform distribution, team parties, etc. and communicate with everyone about league updates.

Practice Helpers

Parents who can't make a coaching commitment are invited to help during practices. This is an important way to support your team Manager and Coaches and help with player development. Practices run more efficiently when there are people to run the batting cage, chase down wayward balls and give encouragement. Games run more efficiently when someone helps batters get ready and manage the dugout, especially for our younger players who don’t yet understand the game.

Team Photographer

The designated photographer for each team is responsible for taking candid photos during games and providing images for the yearbook and social media.

Fundraising

Fundraising is critical for our league's success! Registration fees cover only a portion of the costs of providing baseball opportunities to youth each year.

Snack Shack

Every family in the AA, AAA, and Majors divisions is required to work a certain number of shifts in the Snack Shack. The concession stand is a prime source of revenue for EALL that enables us to keep registration fees lower.

Sweepstakes and Silent Auctions

The league holds an annual sweepstakes at the beginning of the spring season. Each family is required to sell a certain number of tickets.

Sponsors

Each team is required to have a sponsor, and families can help solicit for these important donations.

Game Operations

Coordinate with your team’s Manager to help with these tasks:

Field Preparation

The Home team is responsible for removing/replacing tarps, wetting and raking the infield, setting/removing bases, and chalking the batter box and lines.

Upper Donley Field

Games at Upper Donley require the Home team to provide an announcer and scoreboard operator.

League Operations

EALL is run by an elected Board of Directors, each of whom serve a 2-year term. 3 Steps To Get Involved

Fill Out This Form

Every volunteer that will be on the field (practice or games), in the snack stand, or interacting with children in any way is required to fill out this form. We require that all tee ball families register as volunteers, and recommend at least one parent from all other divisions do so.

If you are interested in serving on our Board of Directors, contact us for more information. Elections are held in the summer and terms begin in October.

Register as a Volunteer

For Team Volunteers, when registration opens for a season, you will see an option to register yourself for these roles. Final assignments will be made when teams are formed. The best way to ensure that your child has an adequately staffed team is to volunteer yourself.

Read the EALL emails

As the season unfolds we will communicate with EA families about fundraising, events, and other needs.
