EATON FIRE UPDATES

Eaton Fire

On January 7, 2025 a wildfire began in Eaton Canyon which destroyed over 6,000 homes in Altadena, CA, and killed at least 16 people (assessment ongoing at time of publishing).

Everyone in EALL is heartbroken over the losses and devastation suffered by our beloved, beautiful Altadena community. The community's homes, churches, temples, schools, parks and businesses are forever changed, whether or not the structures that housed them are still standing. We continue to hope and pray that all our friends and families are safe and are able to stay that way.

The East Altadena Little League is a small community of youth baseball families known for its closeness, with a spirit of kindness and fellowship that goes back to our founding in 1953. The EALL Board of Directors wants to say that we are "all in" to support our families and community, and will do as much as we can to help players get back on the field and be part of their team. Every pitch is a new chance and we promise to keep swinging.

Player Assistance

If you need financial assistance to play baseball, contact [email protected]. EALL is offering full scholarships to anyone who lost their home in the fire.

If you lost baseball equipment/gear in the fire, contact [email protected]. EALL is coordinating donations to make sure every player has what they need.

If you are relocating out of the area and will not be able to participate, contact [email protected].

DONATE TO EALL

You can make a donation directly to East Altadena Little League to support our scholarship program and offset our costs to repair damage caused by the windstorm and fire.

EALL has a fundraising goal of $4,000 to cover the fees for players who lost their homes, and also free those families from their concession stand duties. This goal may need to be increased once we fully assess the damage caused by the fire to our facility and our players' homes.

Credit card donations

Here's how you can make a donation via credit card. Our web platform doesn't usually allow for donations that aren't tied to a player registration. But we have a workaround! It's weird but works:

1. In the menu, click Registration and Available Programs.

2. Select the Eaton Fire Relief program and click "Register Now".
You'll need to answer a couple of questions and click Continue a few times.
3. On the final checkout page, select the option for a Custom Donation.
